Yasmeena Ali is a model, actress and photographer based in Central Europe.

 

Born in Kabul, she immigrated to London at the age of 9. At 19, she escaped an attempted forced marriage, choosing to live life on her own terms, free from the constraints of religious/patriarchal oppression.

Her work confronts entrenched traditional, religious, and societal norms imposed on women by using her body as a powerful tool, akin to a pen, to inspire and encourage individuals to break free from these expectations and follow their heart. 

 

Embracing the complexities that accompany freedom, Yasmeena has confidently chosen her unique journey, inviting those who may disapprove to simply enjoy the view, aware that their desire to look remains unfulfilled—unable to reach her, her life, or the joy she finds in living.
